JAMIESON EARNS $16,000 FROM FIRST
EIGHT EVENTS AS A TOUR PRO

Rookie tour pro Scott Jamieson earned $16,000, missing only one cut in eight events, in the first half of the NGA Hooters Tour which now has a six-week break over the hot American summer months.
Jamieson, a Cathkin Braes Golf Club, Glasgow member during his amateur days, earned $1,485 for a joint 29th place finish in the weather-hit Buffalo Run Casino Classic which ended at Peoria Ridge Golf Club, Miami in Oklahoma on Sunday.
Two rounds had to be played on Sunday after torrential rain flooded the course on Saturday and postponed the third round.
Scott, last year’s Scottish Golf Union Order of Merit winner, turned professional last November. He spent four years on the American college circuit while a student at Augusta State University.
Jamieson’s scores in the Buffalo Run Casino Classic were 65, 69, 69 and 71 for a 14-under-par 274.
Florida-based Edinburgh exile David Kirkpatrick earned $2,534 for a joint 15th place finish on 272 with scores of 67, 67, 72 and 66.
Steven Tiley from Canterbury tied for 47th place on 277 with scores of 69, 68, 72 and 68. He earned $1,057.
David Skinns from Lincoln finished joint 55th on 279 with scores of 69, 70, 69 and 71. He earned $996.
The low-scoring tournament was won by Jordan Dempsey from Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a 24-under-par total of 264, made up of rounds of 67, 65, 67 and 65 to scoop the first prize of $33,566.
Two Australians, Andrew Tschudin from Melbourne and Bronson La Cassie (Queensland), eighth in the R&A WAR until making his pro debut in this event, finished joint second on 265. Tschudin shot 64, 64, 67 and 70, La Cassie 65, 67, 65 and 68. Each earned $13,762.
