JAMIESON BOOSTS ROOKIE PRO EARNINGS TO $11,237
Scott Jamieson boosted his rookie professional season earnings to $11,237 on the NGA Hooters Tour with a cheque for $900 for a 72nd place finish in the Chesdin Realty Open at Lake Chesdin Golf Club, Chesterfield, Virginia today (Sunday).
Jamieson, who played four years on the American college circuit as a student at Augusta State University, hasa played in five events and missed one cut on this US satellite tour since turning pro last November.
Scott had rounds of 76, 69, 79 and 74 for a total of 10 over par 298.
Ulsterman Gareth Maybin from Ballyclare finished joint third on 275 with scores of 66, 70, 69 and 70 and earned $10,007. David Skinns from Lincoln picked up $2,080 for finishing tied 27th on 283 with scores of 71, 73 69 and 70.
The top prize of $36,168 was won by Nick Rousey from Pensacola, Florida. He had rounds of 65, 65, 68 and 69 for 21-under-par 267. He won by seven strokes from Steve Gilley (Georgia).
