NARROW WIN FOR WEST KILLS
OFF EAST HOPES OF SEVEN
IN A ROW RECORD
By DUNCAN IRELAND
Secretary, Edinburgh & East of Scotland Alliance
Please see below for the results of today's match against the West Alliance at Bruntsfield Links.
We couldn't have a picked a better day but we might have picked a better result as the West's narrow victory (12 1/2-11 1/2) prevented us from winning our seventh match in a row, which would have been a record for the most number of consecutive wins .
Nevertheless, Bruntsfield, as always, did us proud and everyone enjoyed their day.
Can I ask any of you that have decided to resign from the Edinburgh & East Alliance to advise me as soon as possible and not wait for the subscription notices to be sent out.
Last year was a nightmare tryng to find out who was joining and who wasn't. It was a bit unfair on those on the waiting list as some of them didn't get invited until after quite a few events had already been played. Additionally, it will save me some time and more importantly, the Alliance some money.
I'll see you all in October if not before.
