CARTHEW, BISHOP LEAD AT DUNBAR

SCOTTISH WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Jo Carthew from Ladybank and Windyhill's Sara Bishop were the early clubhouse leaders on the par-72 mark when  the Scottish women's amateur championship started in comparatively ideal scoring conditions today.
Defending champion Fiona Lockhart (St Regulus) bogeyed the 17th and double-bogeyed the 18th or she too would have matched par.
