CALLUM MACAULAY WINS WEST OPEN TITLE
TULLIALLAN PLAYER HOME FROM STATES FOR SUMMER
Callum Macaulay (Tulliallan), home until the middle of August after a second year on the American college circuit with the University of Mississippi team, won the West of Scotland Open amateur golf championship at Cawder today.
Callum had rounds of 66, 66, 68 and 68 for a 12-under-par total of 268.
Macaulay, who covered his last nine holes in two-under-par 33, won by two shots from Graeme Gorrie. Joint third on eight-under-par 272 were Ross Kellett, Scottish champion Glenn Campbell and Michael Clark.
