GRAND PERFORMANCE BY McKECHNIE

BUCHANAN CASTLE GOLF CLUB PRO-AM

 

 

 

Paul McKechnie (Braid Hills) won the top prize of £1,123 with a six-under-par round of 64 in the Buchanan Castle Golf Club pro-am on Saturday.

McKechnie birdied the third, fourth, fifth, 10th, 12th , 14^th and 16th  in halves of 33 and 31. His only bogey came at the sixth.

He won by one shot from Mark Loftus (Cowglen), Callum Nicoll (Prestwick) and Gary McFarlane (World of Golf).

 

Derek McIntosh (Loch Lomond) steered the Drymen United team of Gus Drummond (handicap 13), Andrew Murray (9) and Gerald Gibson (18) to victory in the team event with a net score of 19-under-par 51. Some shooting!
