JOEL JUST MAKES ARKANSAS CUT

HENDRY ONLY SCOT ON US NATIONWIDE TOUR

 

 

Elgin exile Joel Hendry made the cut with nothing to spare in the Rheem Classic, the latest event on the Nationwide Tour, at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Hendry had rounds of 72 and 68 for a level par 36-hole tally of 140 and joint 49^th place. The Scot, twice winner of the Scottish youths championship, had birdies at the third, fifth, sixth, 14^th and 16^th but he had a hat-trick of bogeys at the seventh, eighth and ninth.

American Jay Delsing leads the qualifiers at eight-under 132 with rounds of 68 and 64.
