QUALIFIERS FROM FORFAR
Prizewinners in today’s LGU Medal area final (North Division) at Forfar Golf Club ranged from Auchterarder to Inverness, Tain and Kemnay.
Ann Hay from Letham Grange had the best scratch score of 78 in the Silver Division.
Fiona Webster (Kemnay) had the best scratch score of 92 in the Bronze Division.
Qualification for the LGU Medal grand final at Crieff on Sunday, June 4 was on net scores only and the six qualifiers from the two divisions were:
Silver – Linda Brown (Aberdeen Petroleum Club) (18) 74 (better inward half), Kay Jarvie (Auchterader) (15) 74 (bih), Carolyne Barclay (Milnathort) (20) 74 (bih).
Bronze – Irene Park (Kirriemuir) (28) 63; Diana Fraser (Inverness) (36) 68; Hannah MacKay (Tain) (23) 70. Grace Porter (Inchmarlo) (29) 71 gained a fourth-place prize but only the leading three players qualified.
Louise Westwood (Whitemoss) had the best net score in the Silver Division – a 71 off 15 – but she will be on holiday at the time of the grand final and had to withdraw from the list of qualifiers.
