ONLY SCOTS MEN REACH TITLE FLIGHT


IN EUROPEAN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

Only Scotland's title hat-trick-seeking men's team qualified for the top flight after the second qualifying rounds at the respective European team championship venues.
The Scots qualified in sixth place behind England at Diamond Country Club, Austria and will play Sweden in the quarter-finals of the match-play stages.
The Scots' individual scores were:
142 Connor Syme 70 72. 146 Craig Howie 74 72. 148 Jamie Stewart 74 74, Liam Johnston 75 73. 152 Ryan Lumsden 80 72. 154 Robert MacIntyre 79 75.

The Scotland women's team finished ninth in the qualifying at Montado Golf Resort on the Algarve - one place short of making the championship flight. They will play in Flight B.
Scots' scores: 141 Hannah McCook 71 70. 144 Connie Jaffrey 71 73. 145 Shannon McWilliam 72 73, Chloe Goadby 75 70. 148 Eilidh Briggs 75 73. 152 Clara Young 77 75.

The Scotland boys' team finished 14th of 16th in the stroke-play qualifying at La Manga, Spain, which meant a lowly place in Flight B. They will play Finland in their first match.
Scots' scores:
145 Darren Howie 72 73. 151 Eric McIntosh 77 74. 155 John Paterson 79 76. 157 Irvine Lewis 79 78. 158 Calum Bruce 80 78, Marc Watt 82 76.

The Scotland girls' team finished 14th of 16 in the qualifying at St Laurence Golf Club, Finland and will play their first Flight B match against Austria.
Scots' scores:
148 Kristy Brodie 73 75, Molly Richmond 75 73. 150 Hazel MacGarvie 74 76. 152 Jasmine Mackinitosh 76 76. 153 Jillian Farrell 80 73, Louise Duncan 74 79.
