GLENMUIR PGA PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
FOX MOVES UP AT BLAIRGOWRIE:
STAGE SET FOR LAST-DAY DRAMA
Despite
a double bogey 6 at the third hole, Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) moved up
to a share of 12th place on the penultimate day of the lucrative
Glenmuir PGA professional championship over the Lansdowne course at
Blairgowrie Golf
Club.
Fox
birdied the first, second, sixth, eighth and 17th for a two-under-par
70 to tag on to his earlier rounds of 70 and 73.
On three-under 213, Fox
is five shots behind the trio sharing the lead - Jason Levermore
(Channels (71-68-68), Giuseppe Licagta (Bristol Golf Centre) (68-72-68)
and Christopher McDonnell (Troon Golf Management) (67-72-78).
Whether
or not Fox can make up five shots over the closing 18 holes is a moot
point but a battle royal is assured with two shots spanning the leading
six players.
David Orr (Mearns Castle) is the second best Scot in
joint 25th place on 216 (74-71-71).
