HARRY BIGHAM WINS ENGLISH UNDER-14 BOYS' OPEN TITLE
Strathmore's Alex Simpson finished T49 in the English Under-14 boys' open stroke-play championship at Enville Golf Club, Staffordshire today.
Simpson had rounds of 76, 78 and 82 for a total of 236
For a change, the Reid Trophy was won by an English boy - Harry Bigham from the Redbourn club in Hampshire. He shot 70, 65 and 75 for a three-under-par total of 213.
He won by three shots from joint runners-up Tadeas Tetak (Slovakia) (71-72-73) and France's Thomas Boulanger (70-72-74.
