DORNOCH MAN WAS IN CONTENTION AFTER THREE SCORES IN 60s

DOUBLE BOGEY DISASTER FOR JIMMY

GUNN IN UTAH CHAMPIONSHIP

Jimmy Gunn can't stop shooting himself in the foot on the Web.com Tour.
He did it again during the final round of the Utah Championship atWillow Creek CountryClub, Sandy in Utah with a closing round of two-over-par 73 to finish tied 38th with a total of eight-under-par 276.
After rounds of 68, 68 and 67, the Dornoch exile was in contention, if not to win, certainly to pick up a big cheque.
But he had a double bogey 6 at the fourth and bogeys at the fifth, 15th and 16th. Birdies at the third, 14th and 17th could not cancel out all the mistakes. In any case, on the last day of a Web.com Tour event you have to be shooting well under par to get into contention, so high is the standard.
Gunn finished 13 shots behind the winner by four, American Andres Gonzales (62-67-65-69 for 21 under par 263).
Runner-up was Australian Adam Crawford (71-61-69-66) on 267.
