Mark Hughes wins Dunbartonshire match-play title at 21st hole
In a match played in glorious weather conditions at Hilton Park Golf Club, it was local club champion Mark Hughes who won a very tight match against James Wilson from Balmore Golf Club for the Dunbartonshire match-play title.
All square after 18 holes it took until the third extra hole before the deadlock was broken.
James’very strong iron play along with Marks’ exceptional chipping ability meant the pair could not be separated but eventually another good chip saw Mark edge it at the 21st hole.
