Lanarkshire Golf News

The Lanarkshire County Boys Championship is on Monday July 24^th at Colville Park Golf Club. Scottish Boys Champion, Greg Dalziel of Airdrie, as well as the three other members of Scottish Area Team Championship winners: Lewis Irvine  (Kirkhill),  Kieran McAllister (Easter Moffat) and Scott Thomson  (Drumpellier) are also competing.
There are still a few spaces left and handicap limit has been raised to 28. There are scratch and handicap prizes. Anyone wishing a late entry should e-mail events convener on wsosharpe@yahoo.co.uk 

The top eight scratch qualifiers go into matchplay the following week.

Graham Rankin leads Lanarkshire Order of Merit

Graham Rankin of Drumpellier leads the 2017 Lanarkshire men's order of merit after five events. He is on 57 points. In joint second place are Stewart Henderson (Hamilton) and Dominic Dougan (Drumpellier )on 46 points.

The next counting event is the Bothwell Castle Quaich on Sunday August 6^th   It is fully subscribed.
