Club Championship
Finals at Hamilton Golf Club
Hamilton Golf Club staged their Club championship finals
today Sunday June 25th in very blustery conditions. The men’s final
was a very exciting affair with the holder Stewart Henderson one down with
three to play. However he produced three stunning putts on 16, 17 and 18 to
force extra holes and won the 19th with a par after his opponent
Gregg Watson found trees with his drive.
This is
Stewart’s fifth championship win from ten finals. Stewart and Gregg are pictured below.

The boys’ final was a
family affair between brothers Lewis and Euan Graham. Younger brother Lewis, 14 years old, made the
better start going out in three under
par to be five up. Euan , aged 16 staged
a mini rally but Lewis found another gear and and eventually won 6/5 in this 36 hole final.
Both boys will be hoping to do well next week in the Boys Scottish Amateur at Drumoig
and Scotscraig starting on Friday June 30th.
Next Sunday July 2nd Hamilton stage their 36 hole
Cadzow Cup tournament. It is a counting event in the LGA Order of Merit.
