Late bogeys cost McDonald top 20 start in


Spain even with a two-under 70

Ayrshire's Jack McDonald bogeyed the 14th and 17th and finished the first day of the Alps Tour's Alps de Las Castillas at Cabanillas Golf Club, Guadalajara in Spain in joint 22nd place with a two-under 70.
McDonald had four birdies - first, fourth and 2s at both the short seventh and 12th in halves of 33 and 37.
He will start the second round five shots behind the leader, Dutchman Lars Van Meijel.
Danny Young, the only other Scot in the field, had a 74, which included two 6s, and he is joint 87th with two rounds to go inb the 54-hole event which has a prizefund of 48,000 euros
