Top Scots share 16th place in Palmares Classic

Craig Lawrie, Connor O'Neil and Jamie McLeary are the top Scots, sharing 16th place in a field of 78, at the end of the first round of the Algarve Pro Tour's Palmares Classic at Alvor, near Lagos.
They all shot two-under-par 70s, eight behind the English leader, Curtis Griffiths.
Daniel Kay had a 74 for a T38 overnight place while Sean Lawrie (78) is T56 and Kamran Zeynalov (85) is sharing 73rd place.
