Paul Lawrie in jt 13th position at halfway in

South Africa

Paul Lawrie is lying joint 13th at the halfway stage of the Dimension Data pro-am individual standings at Montagu golf course, Fancourt in South Africa.
The Aberdonian has had a pair of 69s over the two courses in use, including birdies at the 12th, 14th, 16th and 18th in a bag of seven sub-par figures for the par-73 links course in his second round today (Friday).
Lawrie is five behind South African Jaco Ahlers (65-68) who leads by two from compatriots George Coetzee (67-68) and Dylan Frittelli (67-68),
Bradley Neil from Blairgowrie is T43 on 142 with a pair of 71s.
David Law and Ross Kellett, both playing out of the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre, are on 147 and 148 respectively.
Law has had rounds of 77 and 70 for a joint 91st position while Kellett has scored 72 and 76 for a share of 103rd place in a field of 161.
The leading British player is Laurie Canter, the first-round leader with a 64. He required 73 shots on the second day and is on 137, just ahead of Lawrie.
