Balmore trio in second place in European 

Men's Club Trophy tournament

Balmore Golf Club, Glasgow, represented by Chris Maclean, James Wilson and Neil McConnochie, are lying joint second with one round to go in the European Men's Club Trophy 54-hole tournament at Aroira Golf Club, near Lisbon, Portugal.

The Balmore trio, who qualified as winners of the Scottish club team tournament, have scored nine-under-par 279 so far - seven strokes behind the leaders, France's St Germain en Laye.
Maclean, pictured, is lying tied second in the individual standings with rounds of 70, which included a double bogey 6 at the 18th, and 69 for 139.
Wilson is joint 21st on 135 with rounds of 78 and 67. Wilson had a hole in one at the 14th (125 metres) in his second rouind.
McConnochie has had a pair of 73s for 146 and a share of 24th place.
Each team's best two scores count each round.
England, represented by Hayling Golf Club, are in 13th position on 292 while Radyr of Wales are 18th on 299 in a field of 24 teams.
