Nick Robson retains Spanish seniors' title by 

six shots with 10-under-par total 

Aberdeen businessman Nick Robson easily retained the Scottish Senior Golf Society's Spanish Festival (sponsored by McCrea Financial Services) at Hacienda del Alamo Golf Club, Murcia this week. 

Nick, pictured, a +1 player, finished six shots clear of the field after rounds of 69, 66 and 71 for 10-under 206 after three days of very pleasant conditions.

In second place with a creditable four-under total  of 212 was former champion Ian Brotherston (Dumfries and County), who also has a +1 rating,  followed by Duncan Hamilton (Mortonhall), Gordon Hay (Boat of Garden) and David Shields (Glenearn), all eight strokes further back on 220.

The doubles competition goes into its final day with the pairing of David Millar (St Andrews New) and Duncan Hamilton (Mortonhall) the leading scratch team on 68, ahead of  Glenbervie pair Rob Craw and Gordon MacDonald as well as Dumfries and County pairing Ian Brotherston and Ian Fraser. 

Alex Hogg (Stirling) and Denis McQuade (Glenbervie) lead the handicap competition  on 64 from local pairing Tony Burns and Eddie Doubtfire one stroke further back.
