Mike Smith, proprietor of the "Banks of Ury" Hotel, 20 High Street, Inverurie AB51 3XQ (telephone 01467 620409) is sponsoring next Wednesday's North-east Alliance at the Newmachar Hawkshill Course to the tune of £150, which breaks down to an extra tenner for each of the 15 prizewinners (five scratch, five Class 1 handicap and five Class 2 handicap).

The provisional tee times for Newmachar will be on display tomorrow morning.
