Fiona Liddell T11 on debut for Baylor University

Former Scottish girls champion Fiona Liddell finished tied 11th on her debut for Baylor University, Texas at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire women's college tournament at the University of New Mexico championship course (par 72; 6,317yd) at Albuquerque.

Fiona (pictured) had rounds of 71, 72 and 69 for a four-under-par total of 212 - 16 shots behind the winner, Esther Lee (Colorado) who had a record-equalling score of 61 in the first round and following it up with rounds of 69 and 68 for an 18-under-par aggregate of 196.
Jessica Carty (Denver), a final year student from Holywood, Belfast, shot 77, 68 and 72 for 217 and a share of 25th place.
Elizabeth Prior (UNLV) from Surrey tied 65th with Sophie Newlove (Denver) from Nottingham on 226. Elizabeth had rounds of 76, 74 and 76; Sophie 79, 75 and 72.
Lauren Whyte (Denver) from St Andrews tied for 70th place in a field of 93. She scored 78, 74 and 75 for 227.
GB and I Curtis Cup player Olivia Mehaffey from Northern Ireland was unable to make her debut for Arizona State as she is in Mexico for the Espirito Santo Trophy women's world amateur team championship tournament this week.
Oklahoma State (844) won the team title at Albuquerque with Arizona State (853) second and Baylor (854) third. Denver (881) fiished 13th of 16 and UNLV (897) 15th
