Boys home internationals at Ballyliffen

Good start by young Scots in Ireland

Scotland made a good start to the boys home internationals at Ballyliffen, Ireland with a 10.5-4.5 win over Wales.
England made an equally good start. They beat host nation Ireland 10-5

The young Scots took the morning foursomes 4-1 and followed that up with a 6.5-3.5 capture of the afternoon singles when their winners were McIntosh, Stewart, Franssen, Ferguson, Locke and Greer

Foursomes: 4-1
J Stewart and E McIntosh bt L Vargas and M Harris 2 holes.
R Franssen and B Ferguson halved with R Warren and L Harries.
S Locke and M Lawrie bt O Brown and T Jones 1 hole.
M McCulloch and G Greer halved with A Greville and H Frazer
D Howie and M Watt bt L Pritchard and J Davies 2 and 1.
Singles: 6.5-3.5
McIntosh bt Vargas 1 hole.
Stewart bt Warren 2 and 1
Franssen bt Jones 8 and 6.
Ferguson bt Brown 6 and 4.
Locke bt Harries 2 and 1.
L Irvine halved with Greville
Greer bt B Truman 7 and 5
McCulloch lost to Harris 3 and 2.
Howie lost to Davies 2 and 1.
Watt lost to Pritchard 2 holes.
