Russell Knox's $39,816 payday for a joint 26th place in the Honda Classic in Florida on Sunday boosted his US PGA Tour earnings to $6,406,829 and his career earnings in America to a total of $7,172,744 since he turned pro in 2007 and first played on what is now the Web.com Tour.
The Inverness-born graduate from Jacksonville University, Florida - where he now stays - graduated to the main tour in 2011.
Knox, who will be 31 on June 21, is 228th on the US PGA Tour's all-time money list. He has some way to go to catch fellow Scot Martin Laird who is 115th with earnings of $13,069, 130.
