David Joel wins North Scottish Alliance at 

Muir of Ord by three with two-under 66

Inverness amateur David Joel (Inverness) scored his first win of the season in today's North Scottish Golfers' Alliance fixture at Muir of Ord Golf Club with a two under par 66.
 His cause was greatly aided by an eagle 2 at the third. Birdies were secured at the first,  11th and 15th, bogeys at the second, seventh and 17th. 
Joel headed a field of 73 competitors by three strokes

Early starters  had difficulty with the bounces in frosty conditions. Bryan Fotheringham (Forres) started with three bogeys and had another at the fifth after a birdie at the fourth.
Out in 38, he came home in two-under 31 with birdies at the 14th, 15th and 17th as well as a bogey at the 16th

In contrast, John Campbell (Grantown on Spey), third off the tee, birdied his opening two holes  but bogeyed the eighth and ninth for 36 to the turn. He had three bogeys and one bogey after the turn.
Fotheringham and Scott Mullen (Elgin) tied for second place on 69 with Campbell fourth on 71.
