Gordon Hay and Stuart Black top Scots in 

Spanish senior doubles

Gordon Hay and Stuart Black were the highest placed Scots in joint eighth position in the Spanish senior men's amateur doubles golf championship over 36 holes at Costa Ballena Golf Club today (Wed).

They shot a better-ball 73, four shots worse than their first-round score, for a total of 142 - 11 shots behind the Spanish winners of the title, Borja Ybarra and Ignacio Gonzalez who had great scores of 66 and 65.

The next best Scottish partnership was that of Edzell's Keith Bruce and Ian Jeen (Scotscraig) who followed up their opening 68 with a 75 for 143 and a share of 12th place.
