Law improves to tied fourth while McLean 

makes cut with nothing to spare

Peterhead's Phil McLean and Aberdonian David Law, both Paul Lawrie Golf Centre players, had contrasting fortunes on the second day of the Red Sea Ain Sokhna Classic at Sokhna Golf Club, Egypt.
Tied seventh overnight with Law, McLean crashed to a share of 40th place after a 78 for 149, the limit mark for qualifying to play the final round on Wednesday.
McLean took 40 blows for his inward half, including a double bogey 7 at the17th.
Meanwhile, Law is tied fourth, only two shots behind the triple joint leaders after a 70 for three-under 141. He birdied the long seventh, short eighth and 14th with only one bogey, at the second.
Ellon's Ross Cameron (Saltire Energy) dropped to a share of 17th place after bogeying the 14th, 15th and 18th for a 73 and 145.
Portlethen youngster Sam Kiloh (Paul Lawrie GC) and Grantown's Duncan Stewart (Turnhouse) are tied 30th on 148.
Kiloh repeated his opening 74 despite dropping five shots from the fourth to the eighth while Stewart had a second-round 73.
Former Scottish amateur champions Chris Robb (Meldrum House) and Alexander Culverwell (Dunbar) both missed the cut.
Robb was two over the limit with a 77 for 151, including a double bogey 7 at the seventh, whle Culverwell had a 75 for 152 after an inward half of 40.
