Craig Lawrie, Jay Taylor head Scots on 

Algarve, earn 325 euros each

Craig Lawrie and Jay Taylor headed the Scots competing in the Algarve Pro Tour event over 54 holes at the Oceanico O'Connor course near Amendeira today.
Lawrie had rounds of 72, 70 and 71 for a three-under-par total of 216 which Taylor matched with scores of 70, 73 and 70.
They each earned 325 euros in finishing 14 shots behind the Portuguese winner of the 2,000 euros first prize, Ricardo Santos (66-67-66 for 199).
Conor O'Neil finished tied 20th with 74, 69 and 74 for 217 - a stroke ahead of Craig Lawrie's cousin Sean who scored 72, 71 and 75 for 218.
Jack Doherty finished on 220 and joint 25th place with scores of 71, 74 and 75.
