Streamlined Fraser Mann wins final event of

Senior Golf Circuit

The final event on this year's Senior Golf Circuit at Desert Springs in Spain was won by Carnoustie's Fraser Mann.
Two steady rounds of 68 for a six-under-par total of 136 saw him finish one shot ahead of Matt Briggs from Donnington Grove.
In joint third place were  Spain's Domingo Hospital,a former winner on the European Tour and Seniors European Tour,  and former Ryder Cup player Peter Baker, making his second start on the tour for professionals and amateurs aged 48 or over.
The four weeks before the "Almeria Swing" tournaments Fraser did four weeks of "hard labour" at the World Players Academy .
" Earlier in the year I met up with Nick Lane who is one of the directors and coaches at the Marbella-based World Players Academy," said Mann.

"I was impressed with what he was saying and the website so I decided to try it out for myself. Mark Macrae, who is the fitness expert, helped me greatly with my flexibility and Dr John Pates,
the resident psychologist, opened my eyes to a number of things that had been preventing me in reaching my golfing goals.
"At the age of 55 I was able to gain at least 20 yards on my drives and during the three tournaments directly after the four weeks at the academy I finished second , fourth and first!
"The academy was set up five years ago by Nick and attracts pupils from all over the world. I was the oldest pupil by nearly 30 years and I found it a great incentive to work alongside these dedicated youngsters.
"If anyone is interested in doing some serious work on their game, have a look at worldplayersacademy.com website and get in touch 2with Nick.
"The only downside was I had to buy new trousers because I lost so much weight !"
