Fraser beats Bryan in the battle of the 

Fotheringhams to win ND match-play title

Fraser Fotheringham (Nairn) beat Bryan Fotheringham (Forres) by

4 and 3 in the final of the North District match-play championship at Castle Stuart Links.

Fraser three under par for the holes played and Bryan one over. The finalists are not related.
Fraser was one up at the turn and then built on that lead

Two junior international players reached the semi-finals. Sandy Scott (Nairn) was beaten at the 19th by Bryan Fotheringham and Rory Franssen (Inverness) lost by 4 and 3 to Fraser Fotheringham.
