Stephen Roger comes from five in arrears to win Paul Lawrie Junior Jug

FROM THE PAUL LAWRIE WEBSITE
Stephen Roger came from five shots back to claim the scratch prize in our Junior Jug at Moray Golf Club (Old Course)
The Cruden Bay player started the third and final round 5 shots behind Glen Burrett (Haggs Castle) on a day that started with torrential downpours for the 42 players who survived the cut, following 36 holes' play
Burrett, from Haggs Castle, led the way after opening rounds of 71  and 69.  His two-under total was good enough to be 5 ahead of Roger, who opened with a six-over 77 and followed-up with a second round of 68 (-3).
Burrett faltered in the final round however.  His 83 saw him fall back in to third place as Roger posted a steady 72 (+1) to take the title by three shots from Jamie Stewart (Old Course Ranfurley) also shot 72 to add to his first two rounds of 77 + 71 for a 220 total.
In the handicap competiton for the Junior Jug, Nairn's Logan Gillies 217 total gave him the top honour
