Jack McDonald leading Scot after Liam Johnston crashes out with a 79

Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) is the leading Scot with one round still to play in the European men's individual amateur championship at Penati Golf Resort, Slovakia.
McDonald has had rounds of 67, 71 and 67 to be lying joint 23rd on 11 under par 205 in a low scoring tournament led by Irish Walker Cup team contender Gary Hurley (68-68-65 for 198).
Liam Johnston had a spectacular fall from grace of the third round.
He started the day just outside top 10 after rounds of 69 and 65 but nosedived to a 79 for 213 - three shots over the cut mark.
Only three Scots qualified for the final round - McDonald, Connor Syme and Craig Ross.
