Jeff is made of the Wright stuff - leads with a six-under 65 at Leven Gold Medal

Singapore-born Jeff Wright from Forres led the first-round field with a six-under-par 65 on a morning of low scoring in the Leven Golf Medal, this week's SGU 72-hole Order of Merit event.
Wright, a regular on the circuit - he finished second behind another Highlander, Sandy Scott, in this summer's East of Scotland Open, had an eagle, getting home in two at the par-5 12th and holing a 25f putt for a 3.Wright followed that with birdies at the 13th and 14th in a bogey-free round, made up on halves of 32 and 33.

With the first round still to be completed Jeff led by one from former US college player, Charlie MacNeal (Prestwick) who had halves of 33 for a 66.
Rory Smith (Marriorr Dalmahoy) had a hole in one at the
ninth on his way to a round of 69.
