European men's amateur team championship in Sweden

Scots need second-round push to make top eight for match-play

Despite a two-under-par 70 by Jack McDonald and a 71 from Grant Forrest Scotland are in danger of failing to make the championship match-play group of eight at the European men's amateur team championship at Halmstad Golf Club, Sweden.
The Scots are in ninth place with a team tally of 367. They are the only one of the four home countries not in the top eight after the first of two stroke play qualifying rounds.
Ireland (355) are lying third behind joint leaders France and Denmark (354) with England (364) seventh and Wales (365) eighth
