Scots four advance to Senior Tour Final Q School


Scots David James, Alan Saddington and amateurs Nick Robson and Nicky Gold advanced from today's (Friday) Stage 1 eliminators on the Algarve to next week's
European Senior Tour Final Qualifying School at Vale da Pinta, writes Colin Farquharson.
Three venues were used to reduce an entry of 142 to 64 qualifiers
James shot a pair of 71s to finish joint fifth at Silves. At the same venue Gold scored 74 and 72 for 146, the limit mark..
Saddington and Robson made it through at the Gramacho course, Lagoa. Saddington shot 75-73 for 148 and ninth place. Robson scored 76-74 for 150 and a share of 12th place.
Scottish amateur Billy McQueeney was a non-qualifier at Gramacho with 79-85 for 164
Scots who failed to qualify at Vila Sol were amateur Paul Moultrie in joint 23rd place on 157 (77-80), Robert Hunter, 38th on 166 (83-83) and Mike Lang on 174 (42nd) with 88-86.
