Five English qualifiers for NSW match-play

Five English players figured among the 32 qualifiers for the match-play stages of the New South Wales open amateur men's championship at Avondale Golf Club.
Because of bad weather, the stroke-play part of the championship was reduced to two rounds. The title was won by Australian champion Cameron Davis.
Paul Howard (Southport and Ainsdale) was joint second on 138 (71-67)
The other four English qualifiers all totalled 145 - Adam Batty (Beaconsfield) 73-72, Ben Stow (Rushmore) 73 72, Jack Bush (Morlais Castle) 73 72, Nick Marsh (Huddersfield) 69 76.
 The match-play stages do not start until Sunday.

Par 144 (2x72)
135 Cameron Davis (Australia) 66 69.
138 Paul Howard (Southport and Ainsdale) 71 67, Justin Warren (Australia) 67 71

OTHER MATCH-PLAY QUALIFIERS INCLUDED
145 Adam Batty (Beaconsfield) 73 72, Ben Stow (Rushmore) 73 72, Jack Bush (Morlais Castle) 73 72, Nick Marsh (Huddersfield) 69 76. (T21).
146 was limit mark for qualifying.
