The world’s golf-obsessed are going to run out of money if Rory McIlroy’s former possessions keep hitting the market at this rapid pace.
Last weekend, the printed RORS ball he threw into the crowd at the US PGA Championship sold for more than $52,000.
Now, a property developer is renting out McIlroy’s former Northern Ireland home, Robinhall House, complete with private lake and nine-hole course.
All yours, for only $20,977 a week.
In an interview by the Belfast Telegraph, property developer Gary McCausland said he bought Robinhall House as a private retreat for himself and his family.
Then the requests started pouring in from people all over the world, asking to use the facility that helped McIlory hone his craft.
"By allowing people to come here and play, it will generate income that I can use to keep the course and practice areas to the world-class standards that Rory originally created," McCausland said.
Also included at Robinhall: helicopter and chauffear services, a private lake, an 18-seat cinema, floodlit tennis courts, in-house chefs and lessons from McCausland-hired resident golf pro Robin Daly whose father Fred Daly was the first Northern Irishman to win a major, the Open, in 1947.
