YOUNG SCOTS LYING FIFTH AFTER FIRST Q ROUND



MACINTYRE, KINSLEY LEAD SCOTS

IN EUROPEAN BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP

Scotland need to maintain their overnight position to qualify for the championship top flight of eight in the European boys' team golf championship at Oslo Golf Club, Norway.
After the first of two stroke-play qualifying rounds, the Scots are lying fifth.,
Left hander Robert MacIntyre and Ben Kinsley both returned one-under-par 71s to be joint 10th.  MacIntyre had six birdies but also one double bogey and three bogeys.
Kinsley had four birdies and a double bogey 5 at the short third.
Ewen Ferguson and Murray Naysmith are joint 30th on the 73 mark, one ahead of George Burns.
Calum Fyfe had a 76.
