The Scottish boys' open stroke-play golf championship at Cruden Bay has been reduced to a 54-hole tournament after fog halted play on the opening day before 9am and it never lifted sufficiently for the first round to be resumed.

The Scottish boys' open stroke-play golf championship at Cruden Bay has been reduced to a 54-hole tournament after fog halted play on the opening day before 9am and it never lifted sufficiently for the first round to be resumed.
The second-round tee times will apply when the championship restarts tomorrow (Wednesday) and at the end of the 18 holes there will be a cut to the leading 40 and ties for Thurday's final two rounds.
With a maximum field of 144, that leaves little margin for error over one round.
