Host club member Kyle Godsman from Hopeman, who has played the US college circuit for the last four years as a student at the University of South Carolina-Aiken, led the first round of the 109th Moray Open with a round of 65 at Lossiemouth.

Capacity field of 336 competitors for qualifying stages: Round 1 -168 play Old Course, 168 play New Course.  

Players swop over for Round 2.

Thirty-two Scratch and 64 handicap qualifiers. Handicap qualifiers play in two Sections.

Match-play on Wednesday and Thursday with Semi-finals and Finals on Friday.
