FERRIER AND CORMACK BEAT
CUT IN PGA TOUR CANADA EVENT
Scots Paul Ferrier and Paul Cormack both made the 36-hole cut in the PGA Tour Canada event, the PC Financial Open at Point Grey Golf and Country Club, Vancouver.
Former Scottish boys champion from Baberton, Ferrier has shot 68-71 for 139 and a share of 17th place. Cormack has had a pair of 70s for 140 and joint 29th place.
Englishman Kelvin Day (68-66) is lying joint second on 134 with American John Catlin (67-67), one shot behind the Canadian leader Eugene Wong (66-67).
Greg Eason, an Englishman who was one of the more prominent US college players a few weeks ago, has either turned pro or is competing as an amateur.
Whatever, he is joint 52nd on 142 with a pair of 71s. That was the limit mark for making the weekend action.
