FIVE SCOTS SURVIVE HALFWAY CUT ON PGA EUROPRO TOUR

TWO SALTMAN BROTHERS MAKE THE

CUT, ZACK MISSES IT BY TWO SHOTS

Saltman brothers Lloyd and Elliot are two of five Scots to survive the 36-hole cut in the PGA EuroPro Tour competition, the Kerry London Championship, over the south course at Surrey's Burhill Golf Club.
But the third Saltman sibling, Zack, the youngest, missed out by two shots.
Elliot Saltman (Archerfield Links) (72-69) and Dunbar's Neil Fenwick (72-69) are tied 10th on 141 but with only an outside chance of winning the £10,000 jackpot prize.  They are five shots behind the joint leaders on eight-under 136, England's Stiggy Hodgson (Wisley) (69-67) and Jack Senior (Heysham) (68-68).
Paul Doherty (Vale Hotel) (73-69), Ross Kellett (Kingsfield) (70-72) and overnight leader Tim Rice, an Irishman who won the Scottish youths title in 1998, are joint 22nd on 142.
Lloyd Saltman (Archerfield Links) made it with nothing to spare on the limit mark of 144 (71-73).
Ellon's Ross Cameron (73-72) and Aberdeen-born Callum Trahan (Gleneagles) (70-5) missed out by one shot.
Craig Lawrie (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) is getting closer to making the cut on the EuroPro Tour. He shot 76-71 for 147 but after birdies at the second, third, seventh, eight and 11th in his second round he was on schedule for a place in the third round.
Then he was hit by double bogeys at the 12th and 15th - hard to bear for a young rookie but all part of the learning process.
