PERTHSHIRE PLAYER'S FIRST COMPETITIVE OUTING OF 2014

WALLACE BOOTH MAKES TOP 30 ON 

SPANISH GECKO TOUR

Comrie's Wallace Booth had rounds of 76 and 73 for a seven-over-par total of 149 in the Spanish Gecko Pro Tour 36-hole event at La Canada Golf Club in south-east Spain today (Wednesday).

Booth, making his first competitive appearance of 2014, birdied the fifth, ninth and 16th but bogeyed the first, seventh, eighth, 11th and 15th  in his second round over the par-71 course.

He finished joint 26th, 10 shots behind the English winner Jason Kelly (Wentworth) who had rounds of 71 and 68 for three-under 139 and a one-shot victory from two Spaniards.
