NICOL, McCOLL, HENRY MISS CUT, GALLAGHER RETIRES


ROSS KELLETT NOW LEADING SCOT IN 

EGYPT AFTER SECOND-ROUND 68

Motherwell's Ross Kellett took over as leading Scot with a four-under-par 68 in the second round of the Red Sea El Ein Bay Open at Sokhna Golf Club, Egypt.
Kellett, pictured by Andy Forman, had six birdies in all, his last three, at the 15th, 17th and 18th, following bogeys at the 10th and 13th. He hard turned in 32 with birdies at the first, fifth and seventh. He is now in joint eighth place, four shots behind the front-running Spaniards, Borja Virto (70-67) and Borja Etchart (68-69.
Ellon's Ross Cameron responded to a double bogey 6 at the 12th with birdies at the 14th, 15th, 17th and 18th
Cameron, who had earlier birdied the fifth and ninth, finished with a 71 for level par 144 and joint 15th place with one round to go in this Alps Tour event.
Fifer James White and Michael Stewart from Troon are bracketed in 25th place on 145. White has had scores of 72-73, Stewart 74-71.
Fraserburgh's Kris Nicol (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) missed the cut by four shots with a pair of 75s.
Dundee rookie pro Jordan McColl was eliminated on 151 (74-77), the same mark as John Henry (Clydebank and Dist) who scored 76-75.
Edinburgh's John Gallagher retired during his second round after a first-day 73.
