McLEAN AHEAD OF LAW IN HAUGSCHLAG OPEN IN GERMANY

Paul Lawrie Golf Centre stablemates Philip McLean from Peterhead and Aberdeen's David Law shot 73 and 75 respectively in the first round of the EPD Tour's Haugschlag Open in Germany today (Wed).
McLean did not have so many bogeys as usual but a double bogey 7 at the long ninth cancelled out birdies at the first and short eighth.
Law played the back nine first and was going well - despite a double bogey 7 at the long 15th - after birdies at the 12th, 13th, 14th and short 16th to be one under par with nine to play.
But he did not have another birdie on his card and took 40 shots to complete his round.
Germans Stephan Wolters and Dennis Kupper lead on four-under 68.
