FOX WINS B ELHAVEN BEST BEN SHOTGUN PRO-AM AT CARDROSS

Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) won the £877 first prize in the Belhaven Best Ben shotgun pro-am at Cardross Golf Club today (Wednesday).
On a windy day, Fox did well to return a three-under-par 68 to win by two strokes from joint runners-up Chris Currie (Caldwell) and Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs) who each earned £615,
Arnott is something of a Cardross course specialist. He was joint winner of this event 12 months ago.
This year, apart from being joint second, he steered the Securi Group trio of amateurs, David Wilson (handicap 18), Des Jones (18) and Graham Kerr (15), to victory by two shots with a 13-under-par net core of 58.
