Edinburgh's Mark Kerr and Englishman Jonathan Lomas earned £1,068 apiece by tieing for victory with matching rounds of seven-under-par 64 in the rescheduled Drumpeller pro-am today (Saturday).
The 18-hole event was washed out earlier this month and at times today it looked as a similar fate was in the offing.
"We were only able to finish today because of the hard work by the greenkeeping staff," said tournament director Glenn McPhee.
Kerr had an eagle, seven birdies and a double bogey at the short fifth.
Lomas, out in 31, had a bogey-free round of seven birdies.
They finished two shots clear of third-placed Stephen Gray (Hayston) who earned £712 for his 66.
David Orr (Mearns Castle Golf Academy) lead the amateur trio of Jim Forsyth (handicap 9), Alan Forsyth (5) and Bill Forsyth (8) to victory in the pro-am team event with a net score of 13-under-par 58
