RUSSELL KNOX MAKES THE CUT - ONLY FIVE OFF THE PACE IN CANADIAN OPEN

Russell Knox could be on the very of a US PGA Tour payday that will consign his financial worries to the dustbin.
The Inverness exile has moved up to T11 in the Canadian Open with scores of 68 and 66 for six-under-par 134.
He not only made his second cut in a row, he is only five shots behind the joint leaders, Scott Piercy (62-67) and William McGirt (63-66).
New Open champion Ernie Els missed the cut by three shots with 72 and 70 for 142.
Poor Paul Casey, still struggling, missed it by five with 75 and 69 for 144.
