NICOL AND KELLETT FINISH IN ALPS TOUR TOP 20 IN FRANCE

Fraserburgh's Kris Nicol and Ross Kellett from Motherwell both finished in the top 20 today (Sunday) in this weekend's Alps Tour competition in France, the Open International du Haut Poitou.
Nicl tied for 13th place on 220 with scores of 72, 74 and 74. He was one over par for his last six holes.
Kellett finished joint 19th on 222 with rounds of 75, 68 and 79. He had a bad last nine holes which cost him 41 strokes, compared with 33 for the same stretch in his second round. He had a double bogey 7 at the 17th.
Philip McLean (Peterhead) failed to survive the halfway cut.
Winner was Frenchman Sebastien Gros with rounds of 70, 65 and 76 for 11 under par 211.
