SCOTT CRICHTON MAINTAINS TENNANT TROPHY TWO-STROKE LEAD

Scott Crichton (Aberdour) leads the field by two strokes with one round to go at Killermont in Glasgow Golf Club's prestigious Tennant Trophy.
Today's warm and dry conditions were in contrast to  Saturday's wind and rain for the first and second rounds at Glasgow Gailes links yesterday and several players got under the par of 70.
Crichton was not one of them but a 73 for 213 was good enough to see him maintain a clear advantage at the top of the 54-hole aggregates.
New Zealander Sam Davis, Crichton's closest challenger overnight, faded with a 75 for 217.
Matthew Clark (Kilmacolm), who struggled to an opening round of 77 in Saturday's bad weather, came surging through to second place with a 68 for 215 and defending champion James White (Lundin) also improved his prospects with a 68 for 217.
Lowest third-round score was a five-under-par 65 for 220 by Fraser McKenna (Balmore), winner of the Scottish champion of champions opening event at Leven followed by the Battle Trophy at Crail.
